Vlad Cristache is a Director of Constanța State Theater. He graduated Theater Directing at National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest (UNATC) in 2009, then followed the Master classes in Directing Contemporary Theater until 2011. He is one of the most prolific young theater creators, directing performances in Bucharest (Comedy Theater, Bucharest National Theater, Excelsior Theater and others), Piatra-Neamț, Ploiești, Brăila, Tulcea, Constanța, Sibiu, Pitești, Arad. Vlad is also passionate about scenography, so he created sets and costumes for most of his shows, which were nominated and awarded at the most important festivals in Romania. In 2011 he was nominated for Debut at UNITER Awards Gala for directing "Peer Gynt"; the performance “Spring Awakening”, produced by Teatrul Mic had three nominations in 2017, including for Best Performance; "True West" by Sam Shepard was included in the official selection of National Theater Festival in 2019; “The Romantics” by Edmond Rostand has won three awards at the Galați National Comedy Festival 2019, including Award for Best performance. At State Theater of Constanța, he directed "Let the Right One In" by Jack Thorne, an unconventional successful production, as well as the reading performance "This Child" by Joel Pommerat.
