Mirela Pană is the kind of actor who sings, performs, gives you goosebumps, leaves you speechless, and turns you inside out. A well-thought-out text-to-music ratio practically makes the sixty minutes fly by unnoticed. Visually, as we've come to expect from Carmen Lidia Vidu, the production impresses— not because it replaces a set, but because it integrates seamlessly into the message; no, it is the message.

Although it is a one-woman show, the performance is highly complex, featuring a fascinating direction, a virtual space created by multimedia artist Cristina Baciu, and a series of video projections that support both the scenographic and dramaturgical aspects of Carmen Vidu's directorial vision. The show highlights elements of Maria Tănase's personality and life. It carries a profound sense of Romanian identity and patriotism, skillfully balanced to avoid slipping into outdated nationalism.
