Vladimir Anton is an actor and a well-known theater and film director. He was born on November 6, 1983, in Bucharest. In 2006, he graduated from the I.L. Caragiale University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest, with a degree in Theater Direction, under the guidance of Professor Liudmila Szekely. In 2015, he staged the following productions: "C.E.O." by Stig Larsson at the Comedy Theatre in Bucharest, "Look Back in Anger" by John Osborne at the "Sică Alexandrescu" Theatre in Brașov, and "When Time Doesn't Move" by Donald Margulies at the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest. In 2017, he directed "Tango" by Slawomir Mrozek at the "Maria Filotti" Theatre in Brăila. In 2019, at the Anton Pann Theatre in Vâlcea, Vladimir Anton directed "D'ale carnavalului" by I.L. Caragiale. He also worked as an assistant director on Francis Ford Coppola's film "Youth Without Youth" in 2006 and directed films in 2007-2008 for Acasă TV. In 2015, at the Contemporary Dramaturgy Festival in Brașov, his production of "Look Back in Anger" by John Osborne won awards for Best Actor and Best Actress for the titular roles. In 2005, he performed in "Six Characters in Search of an Author", directed by Liviu Ciulei, at the "L.S. Bulandra" Theatre in Bucharest.
