Dragoş Muscalu is actor, improviser, trainer and MC; and for a while he also has been a radio producer at Radio Romania Cultural. As an actor, he collaborated with theaters all over the country, Bucharest included, and, as an improviser, at present, he is founder of the oldest Improvisation troupe in Cluj and of the first Romanian Improvisation troupe dedicated 100% to children. Dragoş also has a wide experience as a MC in the corporate field (over 100 events), presenting from Charity Galas to auctions and music festivals. For more than fourteen years, he has been holding workshops in companies and art universities in the country, teaching people how to overcome personal and professional blockages, adapting theatrical and play techniques to private and business situations. He graduated National University of Theater and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest in 2007, he got his PhD in Theater and he expressed his passion for improvisation mainly through working with youngsters. Paraphrasing his teacher, master Ion Cojar, Dragoș claims that the improvisation theater offers a unique chance to an actor, that of being able to play 50 characters in a single performance, and for “an ordinary man”, the chance of surprising himself, thus revealing new facets of his personality. In addition to theater and film, he is passionate about music, photography, literature, cats, chocolate and (last but not least) about Batman.
