The Nocturnes of Dobrogean Music and Poetry – The First Two Editions, Summer 2021
On August 17 and 31, 2021, the first two editions of the event "Nocturnes of Dobrogean Music and Poetry" took place, organized by the Constanța State Theatre in partnership with the KULTurale Association, as part of the summer season "TSC Summer Evenings."
In the theatre's backyard, in the pleasant coolness of the summer evenings, the audience encountered quality music, Dobrogean poetry recited by the theatre’s actors, as well as poets in the flesh.
In the first edition, Gheorghiță Tănase, principal cellist of the Oleg Danovski National Opera and Ballet Theatre, performed musical pieces by Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, Alexander Arutiunian, and Constantin Dimitrescu. On the last day of August, we enjoyed jazz rhythms with vocalist Ioana-Teodora Spînu, accompanied by double bassist Michael Acker.
The first edition was dedicated to poets Vasile Petre Fati, Mircea Țuglea, and Bogdan Ghiu, while the second edition honored poets Jean Lorin Sterian, George Vasilievici, Amelia Stănescu, and Iulia Pană, the latter two also being representatives of the KULTurale Association.
The TSC actors who took on the task of conveying to the audience the emotion, rhythm, and meanings of Dobrogean poetry from various stages of creation were Dana Dumitrescu, Georgiana Mazilescu, Dan Cojocaru, Andu Axente, Cristina Oprean, Laura Crăciun, Andrei Bibire, and Adrian Dumitrescu.
The guests of honor for both editions were poets Bogdan Ghiu and Jean Lorin Sterian.
