Constanta State Theatre is preparing five trips around the country, two performances in the European Cultural Capital, Timisoara, before the UNITER Awards Gala and a mini-tour

In the coming period, the Constanta State Theatre has scheduled five trips around the country, with two shows: "Seaside Stories", directed by Radu Afrim, nominated this year at the UNITER Awards, and "Games in the backyard", directed by Diana Mititelu, who received the UNITER Award for debut in 2021. Also, in the second half of June, the international co-production "Prometheus '22" directed by Gábor Tompa will go on a mini-tour of the country and abroad. 

The TSC's tours started at the beginning of May: the performance of the "The Belgrad Trilogy" was performed on 5 May at the UNSCENE student festival in Miercurea Ciuc. The show is a co-production of the Constanta State Theatre and the Faculty of Arts of the "Ovidius" University of Constanta.

On 24 May, the performance "Games in the Backyard" by Edna Mazya, directed by Diana Mititelu, is invited to participate in the International New Theatre Festival Arad.

At the beginning of June, the TSC troupe will travel again to the other side of Romania, where the show "Seaside Stories", directed by Radu Afrim, will have a performance on June 5th, during the Oradea International Theatre Festival. The show "Seaside Stories" based on texts by Radu Afrim, Marius Chivu, Lavinica Mitu, Dan Alexe, Simona Goșu, Tudor Ganea, Nicoleta Dabija, received this year four nominations at the UNITER Awards. The cast includes: Liliana Ghiță/Mirela Pană, Ștefan Mihai, Theodor Șoptelea, Cătălin Bucur, Marian Adochiței, Cătălina Mihai, Iulian Enache, Laura Iordan, Liliana Cazan, Mihaela Velicu, Alina Manțu, Cristiana Luca, Lana Moscaliuc, Nina Udrescu, Remus Archip, Andrei Bibire, Alex Burcă, Anaïs Agi-Ali.

From Oradea they go directly to Timisoara. Here, prior to the UNITER Awards Gala, which will take place on 12 June, performances of the three shows nominated for the Best Performance category have been scheduled: "Antonin Artaud. Familia Cenci" directed by Silviu Purcărete from the Iasi National Theatre, "Oedipus the King" directed by Declan Donnellan from the Marin Sorescu National Theatre in Craiova and "Seaside Stories" directed by Radu Afrim from the Constanta State Theatre. The three performances will be part of the Timisoara European Capital of Culture programme. Seaside Stories is scheduled for 9 and 10 June.

On 13 June, the show "Games in the Backyard" will be performed in Baia Mare, as part of the Atelier 2023 International Theatre Festival.

Between 15 and 23 June, the show "Prometheus 22", a co-production of the Hungarian State Theatre Cluj - SNT Drama Ljubljana - State Theatre Constanta, will tour Cluj-Napoca at the Hungarian State Theatre, Budapest at the Thalia Theatre and Gyula at the Gyula Cultural Centre. 

Next up is the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS) with "Seaside Stories" on 25 June and "Belgrădean Trilogy" on 28 June, the latter in the student section.
