CONSTANȚA STATE THEATER - APPLAUDED ON CHISINAU AND BRAILA STAGES. IAŞI AND SFÂNTU GHEORGHE TO FOLLOW
CHISINAU:
The Constanța State Theater participated at the end of September in the Romanian National Theaters Reunion in Chișinău, organized by the "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater. On September 28, the Constanța State Theater performed two shows: at the Studio Hall, a performance of "Jocuri în curtea din spate" by Edna Mazya, directed by Diana Mititelu, and at the Main Hall, a performance of "Maria Tănase. O poveste" by Carmen Lidia Vidu.
Both performances were met with long applause from a large audience, and the artists—Mirela Pană, Elena Gatcin, Ecaterina Lupu, Andrei Bibire, Cătălin Bucur, Ștefan Mihai, Theodor Șoptelea—were warmly received. Essentially, the Constanța Theater concluded the prestigious reunion in Chișinău with its two performances, which also marked the 100th anniversary of the host institution, the "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater. It should also be noted that this year's edition was dedicated to the memory of the great actor Ion Caramitru (1942–2021).
Unfortunately, due to the illness of an actor, the performance "Doi tineri din Verona" by William Shakespeare, directed by Alexandru Mâzgăreanu, was absent from the Chișinău tour, although it had also been invited and scheduled for the Reunion.
BRĂILA:
From Chișinău, the artistic and technical teams of "Jocuri în curtea din spate" stopped in Brăila at the "Maria Filotti" Theater, where on October 1, a performance took place as part of the International Performing Arts Festival - DIALOG. In this performance, the female role was played by Cristiana Luca. The Brăila audience received the performance with emotion and enthusiasm.
IAȘI:
Just a few days later, the Constanța State Theater prepares for another trip. "Jocuri în curtea din spate" has been invited to the International Theater Festival for Young Audiences in Iași (FITPT), the 14th edition (focus on Art and Technology), where it will have two performances on September 9.
SFÂNTU GHEORGHE:
The next destination for the Constanța State Theater is Sfântu Gheorghe. On October 11, the performance "8 TAȚI" is scheduled at the "Andrei Mureșanu" Theater as part of the DbutanT Festival-Competition. "8 TAȚI" by Tina Müller, translated by Ciprian Marinescu, directed by Irisz Kovacs, with scenography by Theodor Niculae, is part of the "Debut at TSC" repertory program and is a co-production with the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. It represents the graduation exam of director Irisz Kovacs. The cast includes Ecaterina Lupu, Cristiana Luca, Florin Aioane, Andrei Bibire, and Theodor Șoptelea. Irisz Kovacs is one of the five finalists in the Directorial Debut section of the DbutanT Festival-Competition 2021
