CST opens the year 2023 with the ”Relatively speaking” premiere, directed by Iulian Enache
The Constanța State Theater opens the year 2023 with the PREMIERE of the show ”Relatively speaking”, directed by Iulian ENACHE, on the 4th and 5th of February at the Studio Hall, on 2A Ion Lahovari street.
Synopsis: Four people, two interchangeable couples, a cascade of confusions, and endless complications with far-reaching consequences. The result: a classic comedy for the whole family.
Relatively Speaking (Logodnă relativă), originally written by Alan Ayckbourn, is a comedic exploration of the humor and chaos stemming from marital infidelity and romantic entanglements. This tangled web of relationships, with its ever-changing dynamics, offers audiences moments of amusement alongside a paradoxically optimistic and uplifting perspective.
The play, one of Ayckbourn’s greatest successes, has been staged at numerous theaters across the UK and the USA and has inspired several film and television adaptations.
