One award and two nominations at the 2021 UNITER AWARDS GALA

This evening, Monday, July 19, 2021, the UNITER AWARDS GALA – the celebration of Romanian theatre – takes place on the stage of the Grand Hall of the National Theatre in Bucharest, starting at 9:00 PM.

  Mrs. Ileana Ploscaru, the great actress of the Constanța theatre, will be awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award." This year, Mrs. Ploscaru celebrated 90 years of life, 70 years of theatre, and 60 years of performing in Constanța.

  Additionally, the CONSTANȚA STATE THEATRE has received two more nominations, the first since 1994.

 Director Diana Mititelu was nominated in the DEBUT category for the direction of the play “Jocuri în curtea din spate” (Games in the Backyard) by Edna Mazya. 

 Actress Cătălina Mihai was nominated for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS for the role of Speed in the play “Doi tineri din Verona” (Two Gentlemen of Verona) by William Shakespeare, directed by Alexandru Mâzgăreanu.

 From 8:00 PM, the arrival of some of the most appreciated Romanian artists will be broadcast live on the UNITER ROMÂNIA YouTube channel and the UNITER Facebook page.

 At 9:00 PM, the UNITER Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on TVR1, TVR International, TVR Moldova, and Radio România Cultural. It will also be available online on www.uniter.ro, www.tvr.ro, and shared on the UNITER Facebook page here.
