Vlad Massaci is one of the most famous directors of Romanian theater. He was born on January 13, 1968, in Bucharest and he graduated National University of Theater and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest, Faculty of Theater, Directing Theater Department, in Cătălina Buzoianu' s class. He is an acclaimed and prolific theater director. Vlad Massaci has directed performances in many theaters in the country and has obtained, over time, important nominations and awards. In 1998, at the UNITER Gala, he was nominated for his debut. Also in 1998, for the performance "Three Tall Women" by Edward Albee, he received the Critics Award at the UNITER Gala. In 2010, for "Anniversary" ("Festen") by Thomas Vinterberg and Mogens Rukova, he was nominated for the UNITER Awards for Direction and Best Performance.
