This show represents the approach of the Constanţa State Theater to celebrate the Centenary of the Great Union, by commemorating Queen Maria of Romania, who had a decisive role in the initialing of the Union by the great powers of the world. It is the only theater production on this theme, which is not occasional, but remains in the repertoire of our theater and will continue to be performed. The screenplay was made, according to Queen Maria's diaries, by one of the most appreciated contemporary novelists, Radu Aldulescu. RADU ALDULESCU made his debut in 1993 at the Albatros Publishing House, with the novel "Sonata pentru acordeon", for which he received the Romanian Writers' Union Award. He wrote the screenplay for the film "Terminus Paradis" (directed by the late Lucian Pintilie), which won the Grand Prize of Jury at the Venice Film Festival. In 2008 he was awarded the "Ion Creanga" Prize of the Romanian Academy, for the novel " Mirii nemuririi ". His ten novels have received many awards and have been published by the most prestigious publishing houses in Romania. ALINA HIRISTEA, (UNATC, 1998) has signed so far, the artistic direction of 30 shows. In 2010, she took part in the Diebe-Transfer project of the European Theater Convention, where she held a workshop at the Deutches Theater in Berlin, followed by the premiering of the play "Thieves" by Dea Loher, for the first time in the country, at the Craiova National Theater. She has received the International Shakespeare Festival’s Trophy of in Craiova in 2010 - "Only Hamlet", TN Craiova, in 2016 - "Furtuna", Gong Sibiu Theater (selected show at the prestigious Wuzhen Theater Festival, China, 2016) and in 2018 - "Lear", Reduta Brașov Cultural Center.
